Razor allergy is a skin condition that can occur after shaving. Razor allergy can cause redness, irritation and the formation of pimples. Here are the home remedies for razor allergy.

1. ALOE VERA GEL

Aloe vera has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that helps soothe and heal skin infections and inflammations. Just apply a small amount of aloe vera gel or lotion to the affected area immediately after shaving. Allow the skin to absorb it. After 15-20 minutes, when it becomes dry, rinse with warm water. This will help you get rid of razor allergy pretty fast.

2. ASPIRIN MIXTURE

Aspirin has anti-inflammatory properties that help to reduce the redness caused by razor allergy. It also prevents ingrown hair after shaving or waxing. Crush up one or two uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it with 1/4 cup of water to form a paste. Apply the paste over razor allergy, let dry, and then rinse off with lukewarm water.

3. BAKING SODA

Baking soda ranks among the best solution for razor allergy. Baking soda can restore pH imbalances on red, irritated skin thanks to its amphoteric properties. It will reduce redness and the itchy feeling on the skin fast. Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 1 cup of water to make a paste. Soak a cotton ball in the mixture then rub it on the affected area. Keep the area wet with baking soda solution for about 5 minutes before rinsing the area with cold water.

4.TEA BAGS

Inexpensive black tea bags can help to get rid of razor allergy. Black tea contains tannic acid that helps reduce redness and inflammation. Dip a black tea bag in warm water and rub it over the area where you have razor allergy.

5. HONEY

Honey is found in many skin care products because of its anti-bacterial properties. It can work wonders on razor allergy. It not only reduces swelling and inflammation, but also keep the skin moisturized. Using your finger tips, apply some honey directly on the irritated skin. Let it dry before rinsing off with cold water.

6. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

Apple cider vinegar is an excellent home remedy for razor allergy. Its anti-inflammatory properties work to reduce inflammation as well as the itching sensation. Acetic acid in apple cider vinegar helps prevent infection. Take apple cider vinegar in a bowl. Soak a cotton ball in it. Pat on the razor allergy and allow it to air-dry. Rinse it off with water later.
